Smt. Padmaja Kishore is the daughter and disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri T.K. Govinda Rao. She has won prizes in several musical competitions in India. She has performed for All India Radio, Chennai & Pondicherry and also Chennai Dooradarshan. She has given several performances in the SF Bay area and performed for South India Fine Arts during the spring festival in 2006.
She is the director of Gana Mandir Fine Arts in San Jose and teaches music in the Bay area. She has given three CD recordings - “Compositions of Purandara Dasa”, "Dasa Gana Manjari" and “Rama Gana Manjari”.
Raised in a family steeped in tradition and cultural values, Arvind was introduced to music very early in his life. At a very young age, he came under the tutelage of Smt Lalgudi Srimathi Brahmanandam, sister of Sri Lalgudi G.Jayaraman. Arvind spent several years undergoing intense training on the violin under his guru. It was during this time that he developed a deeper appreciation of the nuances in carnatic music. Through devotion and meticulous practice, Arvind gained expertise in raga elaboration, rendition of composition of great composers and in providing skillful accompaniment. His music is marked by the essence of classical carnatic music and is highlighted by purity, vast imagination, and outstanding clarity. He started performing in the mid-80s and soon started accompanying leading musicians in Chennai. Having performed extensively in India and in several cities in the US, he is an accomplished soloist and has accompanied several acclaimed musicians including Nedunuri Krishnamurthi, T.V. Gopalakrishnan, O.S. Thiagarajan, Unnikrishnan and Bombay Jayshri.
Ramesh Srinivasan is a disciple of Kalanidhi Shri Vellore G. Ramabhadran. He has performed at major Sabhas in Chennai including Music Academy. He runs a percussion school in the Bay Area.
