    About the program

    Mission of Swara Lahari is to promote Classical Indian Music in USA using main stream media such as Television. Pre-recorded concerts of selected artists are telecast on community TV channels in various cities in Bay Area. There are two levels of artists that Swara Lahari hosts, upcoming artists and senior established artists. The main objective of Swara Lahari is to show case upcoming artists. Swaralahari also hosts inspirational concerts by established artists and Gurus of Classical Indian music.

    Highlights of the program:

    1. Program is open to artists pursuing classical Indian music in vocal or instrumental form.

    2. Program is open to Karnatik or Hindustani styles of music.

    3. 30 minutes concert every week for 52 weeks in a year.

    4. Telecast time is Saturday morning in most Bay Area cities. The details regarding the channels and telecast time for various cities is published under channel info link above.

    5. The accompaniments for the concert need to be arranged by the artists themselves.

    6. All concerts are professionally recorded in TV studios.
